Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

1. General information

  1. This policy applies to the website at akmex.pl (the “Site”) and describes how personal data is processed and how cookies are used.
  2. Contact for matters concerning the Site and personal data: [email protected].
  3. We have not appointed a data protection officer. For questions about personal data, write to [email protected].
  4. We apply technical and organisational measures proportionate to the risk: the Site runs over a secure HTTPS connection, and access to the mailbox and the hosting panel is protected. The Site does not store user data in its own database.

2. Purposes, legal bases and retention periods

The Site has no forms, newsletter, shop or analytics tools. We process personal data in three cases.

  1. Handling e‑mail messages (enquiries about AKMEX, a presentation and a trial of the device). Data: e‑mail address, name (if you give it) and the content of the message. Basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request before entering a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest: business correspondence and defence against claims). Period: until the correspondence ends, no longer than 12 months after the last contact, unless we start working together or claims are made.
  2. Concluding and performing a contract, if we decide to work together after the trial. Data: contact details and data needed to conclude and perform the contract. Basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (tax and accounting obligations). Period: the term of the contract, then the period required by law, usually 5 years from the end of the tax year.
  3. Security and operation of the Site. The hosting server stores technical logs (e.g. IP address, date and requested address). Basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Period: according to the hosting settings, usually short-lived.

Providing data in correspondence is voluntary but needed to reply to your message.

3. Recipients and transfers outside the EEA

  1. Service providers may process data on our behalf under processing agreements: e‑mail (Zoho) and hosting (Cloudflare). Where needed, data may be received by legal and accounting advisers and by public authorities if the law requires it.
  2. Providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case we rely on the mechanisms provided by the GDPR, such as a European Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
  3. We do not sell personal data and do not share it with others for marketing purposes.

4. Your rights

  1. You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. If we ever process data based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
  2. To use these rights, write to [email protected]. We will reply within one month.
  3. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00‑193 Warsaw, Poland.
  4. We do not make automated decisions and do not profile users.

5. Cookies and external tools

  1. The Site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, remarketing tools or social media plug-ins. For that reason there is no cookie consent banner.
  2. Fonts and scripts are hosted on the same domain as the Site, with no connections to external servers. Your browser may cache the Site’s files to display it faster.
  3. If we add analytics or other tools that need consent in the future, we will update this policy and ask for consent before they start.
  4. The Site links to external pages, for example research sources. We are not responsible for their privacy policies.

6. Training data on AKMEX devices and in the app

Training results are stored locally on the device (AKMEX Hub, tablet, phone) and are not sent to AKMEX servers. A PDF report goes only where you send it yourself. The rules for processing data in the app will be described in a separate policy before it is published.

7. Final provisions

  1. This policy applies from the day it is published on the Site.
  2. We may change it, for example when the law or the way the Site works changes. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the last update.
